5 types of bosses and how to handle them

I've once been in a situation where my bosses are most of them cranky for the whole day. Oh my, what a stressful day that is. They have something called the pyramid of bosses, where every boss want to show each other "Who's the boss". Where the higher ranking scold lower one level, and it goes on and on and on. It's called "The chain of scolding". Everyone will tend to try to get close with their boss since they think that it is one of the easiest way to get a promotion or as a pave way for their next career step. Well, according to CBSMoneyWatch.com there are 5 common types of bosses and how to handle them.

1. The Vague One
The character where one who never make their desires clear, confusing.
Pin him down and get details. Ask straight forward, specific and as many questions as possible in order to get the right answer.

2. The Micromanager
Someone who always watch our move and always concern about their reputation. Get out from under them occasionally. Try to redirect his attention to make him realise that you're a benefit in something.

3. The Bully
They will try to steal every joy that we have in our job. Do a good work that we can stand behind. Whenever at a turning point, give some opinion and let them choose, because they like doing their own decision.

4. The Narcissist
The bosses always think that they are the only person who's living in this world. They change the rule because they wanted to for THEMSELVES. To overcome them you have to present everything through their perspective and always make them look good, from here they will think of you as an asset.

5. The BFF
Being best friend with our manager is not a bad thing. It's a good with a bad thing. The more they like being around us, they will bring us with them along the corporate ladder, but if they are using us to spy on our colleagues or some sort, then we just have to beware.

From what I see, my boss is definitely no.5 and a little bit of no.2. Crazy huh? Well, it seems that I just have to look at my back for quite sometime. Scary and fun at the same time. Never know who will be watching us.

Till the,
xoxo

Wedding Gifts wishlist

As I was scrolling down in yahoo I saw a fine and magnificent article about gifts that people used to give during weddings by The Wall Street Journal. The countdown begins! :

1. Kitchen cutlery set.
Well, here people give more towards pots, pans, cups and plates. Try giving cutlery set as a change. They say Langkawi is the best place to find all this kitchen ware. I once been to Langkawi, it is a duty free island. There are tonnes of pots, pans, cups and even cutlery set being sell. They called the place as "chocolate heaven". The chocolates are tremendously cheap. The perfume are cheap too! But sadly I didn't notice any branded clothes or attire, they definitely are sure to be cheap too. Normally people fly their butt all the way there for cooking ware. We should try once too!

2. Home Bar ware.
Sadly, Malaysian people do not drink. So as far goes the home bar ware. But they are definitely cool. You see, we don't have these types off culture in Malaysia but it is sure cool to have one of these sexy glasses at home!

3. Electronic or Camping Gear.
This is something new! Electronic stuff is normal such as blender and shredder, mixer and iron or maybe kettle, but the camping gear is cool especially for the guys! Guys love camping, when we give one of these, they will exactly feel that even though they are married they still do have times for their buddies.

4. Bath Towel.
If we realise that late in the 80's they do give away bath towel with an embroidery writing "Selamat Pengantin Baru", nowadays it's so hard to find these towels. Only in old shops such as PKNS. Even now they don't even put towels as the bridal gift during wedding any more. I can't really imagine people giving it as a gift.

5. Family sized barbecue grilled, bamboo baths accessories and Sports gear.
A family sized barbecue grilled is to die for, especially when trying to build up a new family. Bamboo baths accessories are cute for the interior of the bath room. Sporting gear are so in especially for the gym junkie.
6. Multi purpose Cast Iron Dutch Oven
For camp fire cooking. It'll taste just as the same as home cook meal! When you are at home, it will be as if you're on a camping trip. How romantic.

7. Grill and griddle
Chicken grill, fish grill, lamb grill! You name it! I have one at home. My dad was totally excited when we bought it. So we had fish grill, then chicken grill, then fish grill again, back to chicken grill and then prawn grill. It's sure will be the best home starting present ever!

8. Kitchen Aid Mixer
Doubles as a pasta maker, meat grinder and shredder. Cake mixer, cookie mixer and also bread mixer. This is so much better then a blender I guess.

9. Karaoke Machine, Italian Lessons and Limited Edition Art Prints

Having a Karaoke Machine in your home helps to feel how was it to be young again and it will never be too late to have an Italian Lesson. Hanging a masterpiece in our home makes it more lively and homely. Simple things to help decorate and bringing up a new home.

10. Beer mugs, a stove top grill and leather cooking gloves

11. A remote-control party cooler
And yes it does go from one person to the another to serve beer.

To have the exact English house look.
12. Candelabra and silver frames
13. 12 and 8 quart stock pot
These are especially for the soup people. People who love cooking soup will definitely love these stock pot.

14. Remodelling supplies
Closes friend will definitely help in remodelling a home. Especially newly wed that just bought their dream house or maybe redecorating or remodelling their existing house. The perfect gift.

As the list goes on and on, with different ideas of the perfect gift, different people have different points of view. As for we Malaysian, as usual. Pots and pans, cups and ladle, books and frame. And for sure all those presents are indeed incredible and valuable in order to start a new life. Till then.

It's a Friday!

As we all know that everybody is always looking forward to Friday, definitely because tomorrow is Saturday! How one week pass so fast. Actually my one whole week have been totally great! Slept through the entire day until 12 pm. Thinking that I should get a haircut. Hair been so bushy as if i'm so in the Lion King movie! :) Such a sunny and bright day here at home. Thank god it didn't rain, but no rain tends to make the weather extra hot. Ok god! Please let it rain! :)

Will be accompanying my father late this afternoon to go back to my village. This month will be wedding month. Every weekend my friends is getting married. Let me emphasize on the word friends. MY FRIENDS. How time flies so fast, now it makes me feel so old. 23 this year and adding more towards more year coming. New year is about 6 months away. Turning 23 will be 3 months away. Working one year will be in another one month. Time, why do you ever have to go away. So many things to do, so little time.

I just have one more week left for this luxurious holiday. Haven't had an idea yet how to end it. With love for sure. :) Till then.

It has been a while

It has been quite some time since the last time I wrote something here. Haven't had the time or courage to spill out those thoughts that I have been keeping. Thinking to hold on to it till it wears off as time goes by. You see for the past few days or maybe weeks, I never thought that everything in life could be this hard. When it actually comes around, then you get the feel of it. But sad, sometimes some things are to tragic to think off. Nothing else to brag about except that I love my job but hate the working hours. Having the time of my life with this two whole weeks of paid leave. Thinking of planning life towards one step forward at a time.

Life always comes up with its own surprises. Life gives us love, which is of course full of surprises. Life gives us air to breath to live our lives with colours and hope. Life gives us death, which is sad and tragic. These are some of the circle of life that we have to face. All starts well ends well. All that comes will go. You'll see someday how life can turns out to be so great and such a miracle even during sadness.

Had once, there was a death at my housing area, and at the same time while I was browsing through Facebook, one of my friends just gave birth to a cute newborn baby boy! How miracle life can be. I always had this "think" about death. Whereby, I'm always too scared to face it, even if the person who passed away not even related to me. When this thing happen, it made me realise that god created a life so pure and so great.

There is this one girl in my office. At first I didn't know that she have a twin, and her twin really looks like her. As I was on my way for prayers, I met her twin. She was totally the opposite. It's like one is A and the other is B. Totally I mean totally opposite. God creation is really super super really great. I was shocked to see both of them so different. With different attire and different attitude altogether.

Life is short, we just have to make the best out of it. Don't waste, nor regret.
Till then,

xoxo
